Customer Hub, Digital Loyalty & Menu System

I would like to suggest a major new feature that could expand the platform beyond reputation management into customer engagement, loyalty and retention.

The concept is to create a Customer Hub where a single QR code or NFC tap gives customers access to useful business features without requiring them to download an app.

Core Concept

A customer scans a QR code or taps an NFC stand/card and sees a branded mobile page such as:

Welcome to [Business Name]

  • 🍽 View Menu / Services

  • 🎁 Loyalty & Rewards

  • ⭐ Leave a Review

  • 💬 Give Feedback

  • 📶 Connect to Wi-Fi

  • 📍 Directions

  • 📞 Contact

  • 📱 Social Media

Each business should be able to choose which modules are displayed and customise the branding, content and button order.

The key idea is:

One Tap → Menu + Loyalty + Rewards + Feedback + Reviews

This gives customers a genuine reason to interact with the QR/NFC product instead of using it purely as a review request.

1. Customer Hub

Each business/location would have a unique mobile-friendly Customer Hub.

The business could customise:

  • Logo and cover image

  • Brand colours

  • Welcome message

  • Business information

  • Enabled/disabled modules

  • Button order

  • Contact details

  • Social links

  • Directions

  • Review links

A live mobile preview inside the dashboard would also be useful.

2. Digital Loyalty Program

Allow businesses to create digital stamp/loyalty programs.

For example:

Buy 5 coffees → Get 1 free

Visit 10 times → Receive $10 off

Collect 10 stamps → Unlock a reward

Businesses could configure:

  • Program name

  • Number of stamps required

  • Reward

  • Reward expiry

  • Welcome reward

  • Birthday reward

  • Terms and conditions

  • Participating locations

Customers could join using their name, email and/or mobile number.

After joining, they receive a digital loyalty card showing their current progress.

For example:

Coffee Club

● ● ● ● ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○

4 / 10 stamps

6 more stamps until your reward.

3. Apple Wallet & Google Wallet

A very valuable addition would be allowing customers to save their loyalty card directly to:

  • Apple Wallet

  • Google Wallet

The pass could contain:

  • Business branding

  • Customer name

  • Current stamp balance

  • Available reward

  • Customer QR/barcode

When the customer's balance changes, ideally the wallet pass would update automatically.

This provides an app-like experience without requiring customers to install another app.

4. Staff Scanner

Businesses would need a simple staff interface for issuing stamps and redeeming rewards.

Staff could open a scanner from their phone or tablet and scan the customer's loyalty QR code.

It could display:

Customer: Sarah

Stamps: 6 / 10

+ Add Stamp

Redeem Reward

View Customer

There should be protection against customers issuing their own stamps.

Possible controls:

  • Staff accounts

  • Staff PIN

  • Device authorisation

  • Transaction history

  • Admin ability to reverse incorrect transactions

Every transaction should record the customer, location, staff member, date/time, stamps added/removed and rewards redeemed.

5. Digital Menu / Services

Businesses could create a digital menu or service catalogue.

This shouldn't be limited to restaurants.

A café could use:

Coffee

Flat White — $5.50
Latte — $5.50

A salon could use:

Hair Services

Men's Cut — $35
Women's Cut — $65

A service business could use:

Services

Standard Service — $149
Premium Service — $249

The system could support:

  • Categories

  • Products/services

  • Prices

  • Descriptions

  • Images

  • Dietary information

  • Availability

  • Featured items

  • Sold-out toggle

  • Drag-and-drop ordering

Businesses could choose whether the customer-facing button says Menu, Services, Products, Catalogue, etc.

6. AI Menu Import

This could make onboarding extremely easy.

Allow a business to upload its existing:

  • Menu photo

  • PDF

  • Screenshot

  • Price list

AI could automatically extract:

Category → Item → Description → Price

The system creates a draft digital menu, and the business simply reviews it and clicks Publish.

This could save a significant amount of setup time.

7. Wi-Fi

Businesses could add their guest Wi-Fi details.

Customers tap:

Connect to Wi-Fi

and can access the network information or scan/connect using a Wi-Fi QR experience where supported.

8. Feedback & Review Integration

The Customer Hub should connect directly with the existing feedback and review functionality.

For example:

Give Feedback

→ Feedback form

Review Us

→ Existing review flow

The important part is that this should use the platform's existing reputation functionality rather than building another separate review system.

The review flow should also remain compliant with Google review policies and avoid prohibited review gating.

9. Customer CRM

Customers who join the loyalty program could automatically become customer profiles.

For example:

Sarah Smith

Last Visit: Today
Visits: 14
Current Stamps: 7
Rewards Earned: 2
Rewards Redeemed: 1
Feedback Submitted: 2

Businesses could search and filter customers by:

  • New customers

  • Frequent customers

  • Inactive customers

  • Reward available

  • Last visit

  • Number of visits

  • Location

This could eventually become a lightweight customer CRM.

10. Analytics

The dashboard could show:

This Month

1,245 Customer Hub Visits
420 Menu Views
186 Loyalty Members
375 Stamps Issued
48 Rewards Redeemed
97 Feedback Submissions
72 Review Clicks

It would also be useful to see funnels such as:

QR/NFC Tap → Hub → Feedback → Review

and:

Hub → Loyalty Signup → Repeat Visit → Reward

11. Multi-Location Support

The system should ideally work across multiple locations.

Each location could have different:

  • Menus

  • Wi-Fi

  • Staff

  • QR/NFC products

  • Analytics

  • Customer activity

Businesses could choose whether loyalty works:

Across all locations

or

Only at selected locations

Head office could see combined performance across the entire organisation.

12. QR & NFC Management

Existing QR/NFC products could become much more powerful if their destination could be controlled from the dashboard.

For example:

NFC Device #0045

Destination:

○ Customer Hub
○ Review Page
○ Feedback Form
○ Menu
○ Loyalty
○ Custom URL

The destination should ideally be changeable at any time without reprinting the QR code or reprogramming the NFC tag.

13. Rewards

Businesses could create multiple rewards.

Examples:

Free Coffee — 10 stamps

$10 Discount — 15 stamps

Free Dessert — 20 stamps

Each reward could have:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Image

  • Required stamps

  • Expiry

  • Participating locations

  • Maximum redemptions

  • Active/inactive status

14. Customer Notifications – Future Phase

Once the loyalty/customer system is established, automated communications could be added.

Examples:

Reward Available

"You've earned a free coffee. Visit us to redeem it."

Inactive Customer

"We haven't seen you recently. Come back and receive a bonus stamp."

Birthday

"Happy Birthday! We've added a birthday reward to your account."

This could eventually integrate with email and SMS while maintaining the necessary customer consent and unsubscribe controls.

Suggested Dashboard

A possible new section could be:

Customer Hub

  • Overview

  • Hub Builder

  • Menu / Services

  • Loyalty

  • Rewards

  • Customers

  • Staff

  • Analytics

  • QR & NFC

  • Settings

Suggested Development Approach

I don't think everything needs to be developed at once.

Phase 1 – MVP

Customer Hub
Digital Menu
Digital Loyalty Card
Loyalty Program
Staff Scanner
Customer Database
QR/NFC Integration
Basic Analytics

Phase 2

Apple Wallet
Google Wallet
Advanced Rewards
AI Menu Import
Wi-Fi
Advanced multi-location support

Phase 3

Customer segmentation
Email/SMS automation
Birthday rewards
Inactive-customer campaigns
AI customer insights
Advanced retention analytics

Why I Think This Could Be Valuable

A QR code that only asks for a review gives the customer relatively little reason to scan it.

However, if the same QR/NFC interaction provides something the customer already wants — such as a menu, Wi-Fi, loyalty card or reward — interaction should naturally increase.

Once the customer is inside that experience, the platform can provide easy access to feedback and reviews as part of the same journey.

This creates a much broader cycle:

Customer Visit → QR/NFC Tap → Menu/Service → Loyalty → Feedback → Review → Reward → Repeat Visit

It could potentially evolve the platform from primarily reputation management into a broader customer experience, reputation and retention platform.

Reference

One product demonstrating a similar overall concept is:

https://candour.app/

I'm not suggesting copying their code, branding, UI or proprietary assets. I'm sharing it as a reference for the overall customer journey and concept.

I think there is an opportunity to build an original implementation that integrates much more deeply with the platform's existing review, feedback, automation and multi-location capabilities.

I'd be interested to know whether something like this would fit the current architecture and which parts you think would be realistic for an initial MVP.
