The ‘Badge’ review widget has a bug where it displays the average review score (3 Stars in this case), but doesn’t reflect the correct star rating if I select a star rating filter.
Not a bug the rating is combined for ALL selected review sources so Yelp is bringing it down. If you don’t want to show Yelp or only filter by 4-5 rating that’s already possible.

You’re misunderstanding the submission. I know that the Yelp reviews can bring down the overall review score, but what I am saying is that if I select to have the ‘widget’ only show 5-star reviews, then it should do so not just for the list view but the badge as well.
The image I submitted shows the badge displaying 3.08 Average star rating, but the list view only shows 5-star reviews as I requested.
So my understanding would be that the Badge would reflect 5 stars as well.

Still not a bug the overall rating is what the actual rating is of the business. Hiding the actual rating without disclaimer text (like TrustPilot and others do) will cause legal issues.
But this is by design you may request a feature but this is not a bug you are confusing what is allowed in this space and what is against the terms of a lot of big platforms like Google and TrustPilot etc.
