Form translation (example for a hotel)

When creating a form, for example for a hotel, we can choose in which language it should appear, now we can edit and translate some sentences, but not everything is translated such as "rate us on..."

This was fixed a while back so it’s a stale ticket. Marked as completed.

@mannie@embedmyreviews.com any news on this? Quite problematic that some texts are hard coded and language depends on the platform language selection. If some decides to change language setting, it will change texts on existing forms too.

As far as I’m aware nothing is hard coded. This looks like a stale ticket. For example “Review us on“ I just tested by switch language from English to French and it’s switched to the french version.

        Thanks for your reply @mannie@embedmyreviews.com
By hard coded I mean tied to the translations. That works as described yes, but the language of the texts should not be tied to a language selector that is not form specific.

The “send message” button and “If you do not wish to address your concerns privately and prefer to post a review, click here.” part in the private feedback form come from the translations and language selection of the platform, and can not be changed on form level. That is the issue. One could have a need to have forms in different languages to target different locations or customer segments, or just have a language preference for the platform that is different from customer facing forms.

Other non-editable texts in the form:

        • If you have concerns you wish to address privately, click here.

A form specific language selector would already be good enough to control the non-editable texts, but obviously more freedom is always better. Especially the button label would be good to be fully customizable.

It is also possible that I’m just blind and have missed or misunderstood how the forms work. Please let me know 😆
