In Germany we have very strict regulations regarding data protection, competition law and unauthorized advertising purposes. It would be great if companies confirm these things at the beginning.

It would also be great if we could decide which checkboxes are required to be activated.

In principle, newsletters are permitted in Germany as long as they provide information about your own products. However, it is definitely interesting to offer other external products as upselling. We would also need permission for such a project.
