The Issue:
Currently, syncing behavior with reviews is only one-time. This means that once a review is synced, if a user replies to the review outside of EMR, hasn’t replied as of the time of the sync, or a reviewer changes the review rating, these changes are NOT reflected in the interface or review rating, making the review feed & review ratings incorrect. A vast majority of the time, business owners don’t get to responding to reviews until 1-5 days after the review happens, sometimes longer, making the EMR interface miss review responses that have happened, since they weren’t posted at the time of the sync.
The Fix:
Create a true 2-way sync w/the expected logic. This would update a review where the rating changed, and update review responses when a business responds to it outside the EMR interface, making the interface a better “source of truth”, as expected.
Knowing this may require additional resources to implement, I’d suggest a 30-day look-back window on reviews to sync, for both the presence, rating, response, and date/time, so every single review won’t need to be synced every single time.
I think this will add needed credibility / functionality to the program, as part of it’s core feature set will now work as expected by customers.
